This series consists of general correspondence, press releases, memorandums, reports, orders, and other records related to the activities of the Wartime Civil Control Administration (WCCA). The series includes records pertaining the operations of evacuation and of the relocation centers, records regarding the WCCA's report on Japanese segregation and evacuation on the West Coast, records relating to legal matters of the WCCA, and records about various Japanese and American organizations. The materials also include records concerning the Farm Security Administration, the Federal Reserve Bank, the Federal Security Agency, and other government agencies involved in the evacuation and relocation. The records were maintained by the WCCA until it was abolished. Thereafter they were maintained by the Civil Affairs Division.
